A Whirlwind Few Days in NYC
Our founder, Lucy, just returned from a whirlwind weekend trip to NYC! Here are some of her favourite family-friendly activities in the city during the magical holiday season.
Start with a hearty breakfast
Kick off the day at EJ’s Diner on the Upper East Side with a classic New York breakfast. Think Challah French Toast, eggs, and steaming coffee—a delicious way to fuel up before diving into the city’s energy.
The Empire State Building
A trip to the top of the Empire State Building offers unparalleled views of the city. Just make sure to pre-book tickets to avoid long queues!
Eloise at The Plaza
If your child is a fan of Eloise at the Plaza, a stop at the hotel’s gift shop is a must. While non-guests can’t typically enter through the main entrance, Lucy’s experience was sprinkled with Christmas magic thanks to a kind doorman. They admired the stunning holiday decorations and the life-size Eloise painting in the hallway.
Shopping on Madison Avenue
Ralph Lauren Kids is a must-visit, especially during the holidays. Their iconic Polo Bear knits are not just adorable but also a timeless investment. Once your little one has outgrown theirs, upload it to Littlest Luxuries so another family can enjoy it!
Holiday highlights
No NYC holiday trip is complete without a visit to the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. Pair this with a stop at the nearby Lego Store on 5th Avenue—a dream for any Lego fan, with exclusive NYC-themed sets to take home as souvenirs.
Central Park strolls
Wind down with a leisurely walk through Central Park, where the magic of the city feels a little quieter but just as enchanting.
